Hi Duncan,

I am Michael Foster and I am trying my best to shape myself as a PeopleSoft Developer.I have a breif overview of how PS works like knowledge of PeopleTools,Application Engine,SQR etc.I have worked in a Project but it was basically Production Support so I couldnt know much about Implementing PS etc.Can you guide me of how an Implementation is done in the perspective of a Technical Developer. What are the basic things we do and can you provide me any functional specifications which functional people give to technical guys.I want to be a part of an Implementation and I am looking forward for that. Can you provide me any documentation of any Implemtation.I would really appreciate your help if you can guide me in this aspect.Thanks.you may reach me at want2learnps@gmail.com

@Michael, if you are looking for Duncan Davies, he is at http://peoplesofttipster.com/.

A good way to get implementation skills is to join an implementation team (consulting firm). There are quite a few consulting firms offering PeopleSoft implementation services. Another good way to get implementation experience is to find a new PeopleSoft customer or a customer upgrading from 7.5 to an 8.x/9.0 version and try to get hired by that customer.
